The EMI Group offers the following products for the defense markets:
High Power Amplifiers and LNAs:
Control Products, for controlling RF and MW signals:
- Switches: Wideband, solid state, PIN diode-based switches, reflective/non-reflective configurations
- High-Power Switches: HF/UHF/L-band frequencies, PIN diode-controlled
- Variable Attenuators: Switched-pad DCAs and PIN-diode VVAs
- Limiters: PIN diode-based limiters, including switched limiters and limiter attenuators
- Phase Shifters: PIN diode or MMIC-based
Frequency Converters:
Switched Bank Filters:
- Switched Bank Filters: Super components, incorporating PIN-diode/MMIC switches and filters (cavity combline, lumped element, printed circuit)
Modules and Subassemblies, examples:
- Front End: Front-end module for short-range data link system in the C-Band RF
- Modulators 0.5-18GHz: Dual channel broadband modulator, used mainly to shift down the frequency of broadband RF signals. Three separate sample modules are available, covering 0.5-2GHz, 2-6GHz, and 6-18GHz frequencies
- Demodulators 0.5-18GHz: Dual channel broadband demodulator, used mainly to mix two RF signals. Three separate sample modules are available, covering 0.5-2GHz, 2-6GHz, and 6-18GHz frequencies
- TRMs X Band: X-band transmit and receive module, typically incorporated into a phased array antenna. Two separate sample modules are available, high-power TRM X-Band, and 2-watt TRM X-Band
- TRMs 6-18GHz: Broadband transmit-and-receive module, typically incorporated into a phased array antenna in radar, directional finder, EW and ELINT systems
- Transceivers: The transceiver module includes transmit and receive channels. Two sample modules are provided: Wideband Receiver and Ka-band Integrated Transceiver
- Signal Strength Detection: The module detects and measures an RF signal at frequency range of 0.8 to 1 and 1.8 to 2 GHz (CDMA and PCS)
- Matrices: Matrix switches: NxN ports, customized to the customer’s specification at any combination. Typically, they are used for connecting multiple RF signals to multiple RF receivers. Three example specifications are available: 4x4 C-band switch matrix, 22 L-band ports switch matrix for antenna selectors, and 21x12 non-blocking switch, connecting any 21 inputs to any 12 outputs
- RF Distribution Unit: The distribution assembly receives HF/RF inputs from two monitoring antennas, amplifies and improves the signals, and divides them among 24 receivers
- RF Processing Units: An airborne module that receives RF signals from several antennas and switches the filtered signals to designated switch ports
