Power Amplifiers | High Power Amplifiers

Overview

A variety of High-Power Amplifiers are available, covering HF, VHF, UHF, L-Band, and S-Band of frequency range, sub octave, for pulsed or CW applications.  The Power Amplifiers demonstrate Gains at 22-44 dB, and minimum Output Power as high as 55dBm  (measured as the saturated power throughout the frequency range, with a 50 Ohm load).  See the table below:

Class of operation: The driver and low power stages of the amplifier operate in class A or AB, while the power stages usually operate in class AB or class C.

The following options are available:

  • Protection for the amplifier to operate within a specified range of load and/or temperatures only
  • Monitoring: indication of operating temperatures, forward power and load mismatch are available
  • Automatic Loop Control (ALC)
  • Automatic Gain Control (HEC)
  • Linearization
  • Heat sink, for improved heat dissipation of the unit

The power amplifiers are available in two form factors:

  • Solid state, with or without heat sink
  • 19” rack mount, with possible custom features
